WHY ASSAM FLOODS EVERY YEAR ?

Assam floods every year . this is done due to nature and humans .

Nature

Summers

as we all know that the flow of Brahmaputra river is very fast so when the summers come the ice of Himalayas melt faster and Brahmaputra river comes from the Himalayas only so when the ice of Himalayas melt faster the flow of Brahmaputra river becomes faster and its water level increases and it flows out from its flowing area and starts to fill water on land and due to this Assam floods every year .

Monsoon

In monsoon Assam rains heavily and the rain's water flows to Brahmaputra river and the river's water level rises again and it flows to the land and it again becomes flood .

Rivers joining Brahmaputra river

Brahmaputra river is joined by Dibang river and Lohit river at the head of Assam valley . When these rivers join Brahmaputra river the water level of the river rises because the water of these rivers come in the Brahmaputra river's route so the water didn't get space so to comes on land and it again floods .

Humans

Dams

Some states have built dams on Brahmaputra river so their state will not flood but due to it all the flow of the river goes to Assam and then Assam floods .
